softpanel & multi-node compatibilty
Hi,
does anyone know if the softpanel can show infos for objects from more than 1 OXE running CCD standard?
I can't see how this can be possible because in setup, you have to declare the PCX address and there is only 1 entry allowed (unless I am mistaken).
I have a customer who seems to think that this was possible (perhaps told by a BP pre-sales)

Knight...I am thinking you are correct. By setting that IP address you also will then use the CTI link for that PCX. So i dont think you can do it.

Knight, long time no see
Use TWO soft panels on one PC (not supported by ALU as always...) on different ports
Then:
if you need one screen with statistics (one LCD screen) do this:
in one softpanel put a data on some webservice (thanks for doing that R&D!!!)
or use the JMS method (maybe better?)
on second, gather this data as buissness data
and put everything on one LCD display
if you got one classic wall board (6x16 LED matrix) then simply define on TWO softpanels TWO places to show data, one overlaps another like that:
Softpanel one:
Softpanel two:
on LED display it will look like:
And you don't need CCS multisite to display many CCD
nice, huh?

So how to install 2 softpanel on one PC? Use different location when asked? EG. C:\program files\softpanel1 for one installation and C:\program files\softpanel2 for the next one but specify a different port like you say?krzy wrote:Use TWO soft panels on one PC (not supported by ALU as always...) on different ports

Yeap,
two soft panels, two services under windows -> computer managment -> services etc....
different paths, different ports... and remeber: not supported and you do it only in your LAB
good luck!

Re: softpanel & multi-node compatibilty
Let me know why you want to set-up two soft panels, as you can install a RTI connector using a multi site CCS so you can have multiple objects from all your oxes into soft panel ?

Re: softpanel & multi-node compatibilty
Waste CCS multi-site license just for panel display?
@oldboy it works in my LAB

Re: softpanel & multi-node compatibilty
I have installed version 4.15.0 for CCD Standard and it is working using CCS multi-site just like jlebleu says.
but know version 4.15.0 is asking for a license file... yet is seems to working without...sort of! When I try to display on firefox, it down not show that widgets that I configured in admin during setup.
So my question is... what does not work when you don't have the license.
TIA..
