what should i do to make a serial connection between the laptop and the HP ProLiant DL320e gen8?
because I can not open the serial connection for setting the ip

just take a null modem cable.
the serial port configuration is the same like for a cs.

There is no physical v24 port. Check TechComms and systemdocs for configuring iLO.

tgn: there's no null modem port.

itatge: yeah in the systemdocs say we must connecting with cross cable but i must setting the ip first. how i setting the ip?

yes. have seen it some times ago. but don't get such a "piece of cake" ;) so there is no experience from me.

Why are you even bothering doing all that? Did anyone try PXE boot install of OXE on the server as a blade server instead of a normal installation using OmniPCX Enterprise Installer? If you do this, you should get your console output on the screen(dev/tty0 as console output) connected to the server itself and access via a keyboard. This is the simplest method and I use it for virtualizing OXE. Once set up, you should obtain full OXE functionality, it still appears as an appliance server in the "config" command. Would be great if somebody could try it on the server and let me know how it works out for you. I do not have a physical HP DL320E G8v2.

Why does Alcatel-Lucent write TechComms? Just for people to ignore them and ask questions in forums like this? They tested New Hardware and tell you how to use it. Perhaps your method works, why should i test it?
