Omnivista 2500 NMS 3.5 script / Javascript

I am uisng a licenced version of Omnivista 2500 NMS 3.5.4GA (Build 17, 9/28/2012)
Device Extension Version 1.1.0.0
java Version : 1.6.0_31
OS: Window 7 6.1

"Telnet" is operating correctly using SSH on a OS6400.
Simple scripts using cli commands operate correctly.
Scripts using the cli.sendCmd("ls") and other cli commands work.
other cli methods do nothing (cli.trace, cli.lastResponse) or result in an error
javascript basics commands results in errors, like defining a variable.

I tried to edit the shadmin_sFlowTool_configuration.script whic is available by replacing the "sflow sampler" command with simple ls to make sure that it does not corrupt the OS6400 switch, but the script results in an error.

Would you have any suggestion about why javascript is not operating properly (I am logged as admin directly on the Omnivista server) ?
Do you know of detailed documents on OmniVista scripts apart from the Telnet manual ?
