Alarm on failure analog trunk

Post by Marce11uy »

Hi all,

I have a customer request for one alarm or similar ( snmp or incvisu incident maybe) to alert for a analog trunk disconnection.
This is for a OXE rel 11 on a Crystal Hardware with APA boards.

I will appreciate if someone have experience on this manage.

Thanks in advance.
Regards,
M

Define "analog disconnection". As name says analog is no digital signal so you only have voltages. What do you expect to happen and when

Yes,disconnection means fault of voltage, and can be detected when loop current is not present at the moment of seizure the trunk.

If there is an incident then you can trigger it. If not, then no luck

Hi,
I found this item on TRUNK COS configuration, but I changed to YES and still doesn't work.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

M

│ Loop Detection on Seizure
│ YES: After the outgoing call seizure has been made, the loop closure by remote exchange (feeding detection) is validated.
│ If the loop closure is not detected, another trunk is seized automatically and the faulty trunk is declared Out of Service. │
│ The faulty trunk is then tested every two minutes.

hi Try to reset the board after Trk cos changes , be sure also that the cnetral office is feeding the trunk '(BCA) battery inversion or the loop detction is supported

Hi, Haroun thanks for your time.
I have reboot the OXE and still doesn't work.
As per I understand this feature don't have related to reversal battery, the detection of "loop" is made by the board himself.
It's mean , when the line is Ok the loop current is present and detected.
When the line is not connected (or faulty)at the first attempt to seizure by the user the board must detect the "no loop current" condition and then put it "out fo service" by the OXE (HS).

Do you have this feature working?

Thanks again.

if well remembered i have had this working too , when i seize the trunk on tone is detected (current) th e trunk is put HS , now i'm using PCM R2 Link instead of Analog trunk , i had more than 240 analog line to manage aNd 2 huge awg24 cable (448 as capacity) now only Optical fibre as TX /rx infrastructure and a mouse click to manage and config

Finally I have official response by Alcatel and work fine on APA board.

ALCATEL SAID:
"Could you managed the following parameter in the TRUNK COS please?

Default Transmission + False

In this case the system can dialed on NDDI only if a tone from external is detected.
With this parameter an automatic process is executed every 2 minutes to test the NDDI.

If the external tone is not detected , the NDDI trunk become out of service ( HS ), that is the case if the line is open or not connected
If the external tone is detected , the NDDI trunk become in service .

Unfortunately there is no incident to indicate the trunk out of service and in service ..
an idea is to monitor the command trkstat -r <trunk group> the display is refreshed automatically when the stat of a trunk changed .

The parameter " "Loop Detection on Seizure" "is not used .This behavior is very old .."
