I've got a Alcatel Lucent Omniswitch 9800E.I've configured vlan 1 as a default vlan and other 23 different vlans.
But the problem is that sometimes the internet does not work on any of them.Otherwise it works fine.There is inter-connectivity between the vlans and i can also ping all the vlans from a particular vlan.The last time it happened,i found a switch in one of the vlans malfunctioning.When i switched off the switch,the internet resumed.Why does this happens and how can i configure the 9800E so that a particular vlan gets blocked when malfunctioning,instead of the whole network ?
