power supply 7210 sas-m

My question is if there is a way to see what model of power supply a sas-m 7210 uses.

Hi,

If you mean remotely, the only way I know is to do a:

show chassis power-supply

===============================================================================
Chassis Information
===============================================================================
Power Supply Information
Number of power supplies : 2

Power supply number : 1
Configured power supply type : ac single
Status : up
AC power : within range

Power supply number : 2
Configured power supply type : none
Status : not equipped
===============================================================================

This shows you if AC or DC - and I think there are not many variants. The main PSUs work for the SAS-Ts, SAS-Ms, SAS-MXs etc etc.

Hi thanks for the reply.
I knew that command, but wanted to see if you could find out the exact model to buy a replacement power supply.
But I would understand from what you mention that components such as power supplies and fans are compatible between the 7210 SAS line models. right?

Yeah exactly all the same for the SAS-M, SAS-T and SAS-MX. Not sure on others.
I can give you part numbers if you need them. I have a couple of AC ones here.
