ssh to 6900 stop working

Post by shlomoi »

Hi, a few days ago the SSH service on the switch suddenly stopped working. I started the service in TELNET and I have remote access, but I can't fix the problem. Does anyone have an idea how to solve the problem.

Thanks

you can check with "show ip service" - try to disable/enable it. You can check for open sessions (who) and kill unused. Check the source-ip of the ssh service, check tcp session (show tcp ....).
But if f you haven't changed anything there (f.e. ip interfaces or routes, use the same terminal tool without an update) you need an reboot (maybe with an update of the switch).

Hi, I did everything except the update version and it didn't help. There is one more idea before I upgrade.

Thanks

open a ticket at ALE
Maybe there is a way. But the update (depending from your actual used release) helps often also for other points in your network. So I would prefere it.

Opening a ticket at ALE with an old firmware will always result in "update your firmware".

maybe... depending from your used release and from your paid support contract.
