OmniPCX started dropping calls - Event 56 layer 1 problem

Post by lordmarin »

Hello,
my name is Roberto.
In the office where I work we have a OmniPCX PBX with 2 ISDN lines connected to 2 different operators.
Sometimes incoming calls fall off after a few minutes of conversation and checking the logs it appears this error:

Event: 56 Complementary information: 00 03 FF FF or 01 03 FF FF
"a layer 1 problem has ben detected by DIFL2 (ISDN protocol management module) on t0 or t2 access"

The assistance can not solve the problem and do not know what do ...
How do I solve it?
thanks
Roberto

P.S. sorry for my bad English, I'm Italian :)

Layer 1 issues are physical problem.
Cable disconnected. Bad cable termination. Damaged port.
It can be on your system, or on the carrier system.
You need to do your diligent troubleshooting on your end first before you call your operator.
