How to get 'urescue.img' ?

Hi,

I just bought a refurbished OS6860-24 switch. The previous owner has erased flash memory, and so I'm stuck at the boot loader with no OS to load. I need to provision the switch from a rescue USB stick. I was able to get the uos.img from another OS6860 lying around, but am still missing the urescue.img file. Since I've never been an Alcatel customer, I have no way to open a ticket on the ALE support portal.

Is there any other way to get the rescue.img file ? Would someone be kind enough to give me a link to it ?

Dear All,

I am facing similar situation when purhcasing refurshied Alcatel OS6860-24 switch. Same scenario what marinbernard-pep06 is facing. No Boot Loader at all. Every Boot Up goes to U-Boot.

To use the switch rescue procedure first make sure of the following:

- The Urescue.img file is located in the root directory of the
USB flash device
- The 6860 directory contains all the system files required to
revive the switch.
i.e. 6860/certified/<*.img boot.cfg>
on the USB flash device
- USB flash device is inserted



Would be much appreciated if someone can give me a link to download as I am no an Alcatel customer. Please. Thanks
