Simulate progress message

Post by RobertBreu »

Hi,

we have a tie line from an OXE (release 4.1) to an ISDN-SIP gateway. The OXE just simulates an ISDN-Trunk to the ISDN-SIP-Gateway. Following calls are working:
- internal subscriber of the OXE to the ISDN-SIP-Gateway
- Users behind the ISDN-SIP Gateway to the internal users of the OXE
- external subscribers can also call via a public ISDN-trunk to the users behind the ISDN-SIP-Gateway

following scenario is not working:

- users behind the ISDN-SIP-Gateway calling an external number via the public ISDN-Trunk of the OXE

In the t3 trace of the OXE we can see that the ISDN-SIP-Gateway disconnects the call after 3 or 4 seconds because there is no call process message sent by the OXE. Disconnection cause is "timer expired"
The problem is that the OXE also don't get any messages from the network for a few seconds (which seems to be quite normal especially when calling a mobile number)
So my question is can we simulate any kind of progress message to the ISDN-trunk to prevent the call drop?

It's timer T303 expiring. There should be a possibility to increase it in ISDN-SIP configuration.
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

Yes I'm also quite sure that they should just increase some kind of timer but they are not willing/able to do so...
