Hunt Group Overflow Extension cannot forward incoming Call
Hunt Group Overflow Extension cannot forward incoming Call
Anybody know is it possible to leave a message on the Hunt group overflow extension. The call flow is: Incoming Calls > Hunt Group > No Answer > Overflow to an ext. eg. 101 > Immediate forward to Mailbox of Ext. 101 > Leave Message.
The way round this issue is to creat group mail box.
Remote voice mail customisation sw key required.
Create a virtual extension and create a mailbox.
immediate divert this extension to your hunt group.
In your public numbering plan target your DDI number to the virtual extension.
In hunt groups , click on the relevant dynamic routing for the group and set it with the appropriate timer and voice mail hunt group prefix in the destination.
Select a user for notification, program a feature key VMU and the virtual extensions number.
Press this key and customise the virtual extensions voice mail settings.
Now non answered calls to the hunt group will be notified at the virtual extensions mail box, and flash on your pre programed VMU key.
Press to consult.
Hope this helps

I finished the configuration but it doesn't forward to the mailbox of Virtual extension. The incoming calls forward to the VMU that act as AA service.
The call flow is:
Incoming calls to Virtual set 804 > Immed Forward to Hunt Group 541 > Member 802 not answer > overflow to VMS > Hear AA guide press * to AA and then select Language.
One more question I want to know is that if the first ringing member does not answer the call, can it ring to next group member?

Instead of using Hunt Groups you can use Dynamic Routing in a chained way. That is: Incoming call--->first extension number--->external dynamic routing to the 2nd extension number after a timer or if busy--->dynamic routing to the 3rd ext after a timer or if busy----->......---->dynamic routing to extension 101--->imm forward to VM101.
By the way in this way you can programm something like a limited Call Center without payng licence for it
.

Did not realise you dynamic route on three time ? Will try this out.
Spring if it going to the AA, it looks as though you have not customise virtual extensions mailbox.
Ensure you have pressed the vmu virtual key and entered a password and recorded a name. Then dial the vm access number , enter the virtual extension number and record vm greeting. Give this a go.

Hi,
maybe this configuration is helpfull to get a mailbox for a hunting group:
1. Create an Entry in your internal numbering plan:
"Secondary Trunk Group" Start:"f.e. #4" End:"#4", Base: "ARS",
NMT:"keep", Priv:"yes"
In the automatic Route Selection create the following lines:
Automatic Routing:Prefixes:
"Activation:yes, Network: priv, Prefix:#4, Range: no entry, Subst: no
entry, TrGpList:1 (f.e.)
In "Trunk Groups List":
List ID:1, Index: Local, the rest is not important.
2. Create a virtual Terminal with VM and an immediate Diversion to your
VM-Hunting Group. So, if someone calls this VT, the call will be routed
to the VMS.
3. Create a collective Speed Dial-Number in which you declare the
number of the just created virtual terminal. This Speed Dial has to use
the Trunk group-Prefix "#4".
4. Take your Hunting group and configure a dynamic Routing after x
seconds to your created SpeedDial-Number. So, the incoming calls on
your Hunting Group are rerouted in the ARS so that the VM of the
Terminal can answer.
5. Give all Terminals in the Group a supervivion key for the VM of the
virtual terminal. So, every Member of the group can see new
messages.
Good Luck.
Regards.

Re: Hunt Group Overflow Extension cannot forward incoming Call
Add a virtual (or physicalset) with voicemail. AND give this the exsisting HG number and give the HG a new number.
Forward this set to the hunting group (new number) (imediate diversion to HG #)
On the Hunt Group - set the Dyn Routing til to the VMU number after the desired time
Funktion:
Callers to he VT number (HG number) is farwarded to the HG and sets ring.
No answer in the HG calls are routet to the VMU and to the VT voicemail box.
For messages allerting - program a key with VMU unit and the VT number,
Works fine.
