Rate on queue in Sap-egress

Post by raymondsayo »

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone has seen this issue before where when I put a rate on a queue in a sap-egress qos policy, I only get 'half" of the rate via running bandwidth test? So say if I set the rate to 100M, I get 50M - 90M/45M 60M/30 and so on?
Thanks

Hey Raymond,

May need to see a little more of your config. I think I have seen similar when it's assigned to a sap on a lag, where it autmatically splits the bandwidth between the two ports if a two port lag.

Can;t remember if this was default, or an option, but have def seen it.

Thanks

Hey Paramount,

Thanks for the reply.

So basically a sap-egress policy applied on a pw-port that is bound to a lag port ( lag-1) - so you could be on the money.

What checks do I need to carry out pls to rule this out?

Thanks again,
Raymond

Also, what do I need to check and potentially resolve the issue?

Is is worthwhile shutting down one port on the LAG to force traffic to run on single port?

Thanks!
