SOS & Hunting group

Post by Konstantinos.E »

Regards to everyone ,

Just wonder if the following function is possible or there is something else to solve this problem.

The customer is a hospital and the doctors have with them theirs dects (8232) . They use it as normal telephone but also as an alarm.
For example I have created a certain parallel hunt group and in case of an alarm (sos) they call from any device the code(hg) and they ring parallel to all doctors dects and they meet in ER immediately .

They problem is most of the times the doctors don't look on their screen and they answer too fast the hunting group call and the alarm stops and the other doctors are not acknowledged for the alarm and they are forced to call to their mobiles for a second time .The time they lose to understand witch doctor did not hear the alarm is significant .

The person who makes the alarm most of the times is a senior doctor-s and does it from the phone on the board console above the patient bed .

Is any possibility to ring the dects as an announcement and the phone stops ringing when a special code dialed ? or if someone answer the hg call the other phones will be still ringing ? or not be able to stop the ringing untill the person who dialled the allarm terminiates the hunting group call? :)

Pager solution with a diferent device is not acceptable because they have with them dect, mobile, medical equipment and so on...
The system is R10 OXO .

Thank in advance .

Check new feature (from R10.2) "Emergency call notification". It provides what you want but there are some limitations.
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

Hello and thank you for your answers.

I know this future alex but this can be enabled only to specific sets 40x8,40x9,80x8,80x9 & desktop not dect. In our case can not be used.

If I am wrong please advice .

Tgn , do you have any guide or procedure how to do that ? can you name an application that have been worked with OXO?

we use this, too. You can also use cellphones or other external numbers as destination. The number of paralell calls is limited by the sip trunk lines to the mobicall...
