i have oxo R.8.1
when i entry interal email ip in notificated email, user entry yahoo, gmail, hotmail....etc
it is success to receive mail
but my client have no internal email, how to send mail to yahoo, gmail, hotmail????

it is any wrong of this setting????

OXO will only talk to unauthenticated SMTP servers, Hotmail requires authentication yes?

You can use a very simple smtp server like Mercury and do relay to the hotmail account. I use it for Omnivista in order to have authentication.

If your customer has an internet connection, they will have an ISP. The ISP will have an SMTP server that allows their users to send email. Use that.

On the 8.1 OXO you can go to Central Services Global and point the E-mail Notification Server back to the OXO then put the IP address to your DNS server in the DNS setting and that's all you have to do to make the e-mail work. Assuming port 25 is open through your firewall / carrier. Do you know of any problems this may cause? Seems to work fine. Could not do that on version 8.0.

Does anyone know how to change the port 25 in the OXO for SMTP traffic? I ask because originally the port was closed so I would not see a response. I couldn't find a way to change it but Ultimately I got the IT guy to open port 25 for my IP address.
