8012 SIP Phone as SIP Extension on OXE R11

Post by frgtech »

Hello,

I'm trying to configure IP Phone 8012 SIP Phone as SIP Extension on OXE R11.

How to configure this IP Phone?

When I checked the configuration menu of the Phone (by typing *# at starting) in IP Parameters, I found parameters for a "DL HTTP(S) Server" configuration. Does it download its configuration from HTTP server?

Are there any parameters as "SIP Proxy" to configure directly on the Phone?

I didn't find Alcatel Documentation for this specific device.

Thanks,

I'm trying to do the same on OXO
I have conflicting info that the 8002 and 8012 handsets are not a 'SIP phone', but still require a VPN to the customer network??? Although all documentation clearly say they are "entry level SIP devices"
The only information on the handset that relates to a remote server is DL HTTPs like you mentioned. There are no registration options like user name and password etc.
Does anyone know if these handsets can be deployed to remote sites as SIP extensions? And how?

Thanks

You have to use the Device Manager of OmniVista8770.
So the http server in the 8012 set, is the OmniVista8770 Address.
The phone will get all necessary informations like OXE, Proxy or Registrar from the 8770.

In the 8770 -> User -> you have to create an connection user -> user type -> OXE and set type -> SIP extension
