No Ringing Tone

Post by wallacezammit »

Hi,

I have the following scenario :

An oxo with a SIP trunk.

A common hardware oxe connected to the oxo by ISDN PRA back to back. The master is the oxe while the pra in the oxo is the slave.

The oxe uses the PRA link to be able to use the SIP trunk in the oxo and make external calls.

Outgoing calls are working but no ringing tone is heard when making the call from the oxe. Then suddenly you will hear the other person's voice when they answer.

When making an external call from the oxo the ringing tone is heard.

This means that when calling from the oxe the ringing tone is being suppressed by the oxo or it is not being sent to the oxe.

Do you have any idea what could this be?

Thanks and Regards

Hi

If you call from an extension in OXE to an extension in OXO, do you have RBT?
How is it configured the parameters "send ringback tone for incoming calls" and "simulate ringback tone for outgoing calls" in ISDN trunks parameters on OXO?

I would get some wireshark traces from OXO to check if the SIP call has 180 RINGING during the SIP communication between OXO and SIP provider.

Best regards.

Hi,

Solved.

The following are the changes I did:

1) External Lines - In ISDN Protocols Parameters tick 'simulate ringback tone for outgoing calls'

2) ARS GW parameters-> Protocol tab-> Enable the P-Early media for SIP Trunk.

3) System Misc-> Other labels-> SimulIpAlt Flag-> change the value to 01.
