lost root and swinst password

hi
i lost my root and swinst password but i have access to mtcl login,my customer want to upgrade the system from R9.0 to R12.0.The probleme is how to take the backup of the system

Hi,

You can grab the backup files under /usr4/BACKUP/DAY with your ftp client. The mtcl can access this directory.

Lost the mtcl password in R12.

You cannot use that Backup for an Upgrade... the DB needs to be rebuilt then an immediate Backup taken, the DAY backup is used to rebuilt the system on the same release already installed.
