Anyone out there using the Oracle Virtual Box as there virtualization solution who has managed to get R12 to load and run?
I am using M1.403.15.h which loads with PCINSTALLER ok but on reboot it crashes almost immediately, I have tried adjusting the memory and HDD specs but with no success.
No problems using everything upto R11.2.2.
Just wondering if anyone using Virtual Box has managed to overcome this?

But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.
Just tried with Windows 10(x86) host. VirtualBox is 5.1.26 r117224 (Qt5.6.2).
I didnt managed to run PCInstaller natively in Win10 so I use PCInstaller (4.1) in VM( Win7 ).
So I noticed a few problems - linux.ram loads 10 times longer if comparing, e.g. R11.2. Also Linux files load in strange ways - progress bar freezes for some time then starts again from 0.
But nevertheless it's installed and running after restart.

Turning off Nested paging worked, thanks, strange that this has not been a problem before.
Alex is this on in the machine that you got working?

no worries krusty [emoji6].
@alex - i think he means the option "nested paging". is it turned on or off on your virtual machine for oxe r12?
regards...
I see now. No, I didn't touch anything, so nested paging is checked on my VM.
