Configuring 8118 handset with OXE 9.1

Hi all,

I am configuring 8118 hadset with alcatel oxe 9.1 and alcatel wirless controller. oxe side I did the user creation and controller side also we did the configurations. 8118 admin menu we manage IP address,TFTP, SSID,key ....but still its showing NO NETWORK. any other option I need to do on 8118 handset....previously we did 310 handset...in 310 we mange domain settings( Radio band and all) ....but 8118 I didnt find such settings ........please suggest............

hi

first with network servey tool do you find the ssid that have you created?
if yes try with your laptop to connect and then check you connectivity with the pbx.check if there is firewall ...routing and so on..
is better to do the config with winpdm because you can type everything easy and maybe you missed type smthg.also you can choose channels protocols etc..
if everything is ok check the binaries...

I checked to connect the pc through the voice ssid ...I can connect and I can ping voice server also....for using Winpdm my understand is we should have DPI desktop programmer cradle...right ?

Yes you need the base with the USB cable to connect with the pc..but you did not answer me..with network server tool do you see the ssid?also do you use dhcp?if yes try with static maybe you have issue with tftp..also you can do a vlan with no encryption to check behavior..

Through the network tool I can see the SSID and AP also. We tried with DHCP and Static both......but still same message "NO NETWORK"

what kind fo controller is it? there are some limitations...you can check on bpws to see what 3rd party equipment you can use for 8118.
lanpbxbulid is it configured?

if not

run the command lanpbxbuild - auto and then reboot..

It is Alcatel 4704 wireless controller. Lanpbxbuild is configured.......

You can try to put the Mac adrress to the user that you have created.if this doesn't work try to put new binaries in external tftp server to update the mobile and set inside the tcpip user the reset for update to false .Also you can try to make an ssid with no encryption to make sure that it is not a problem.

Can you show us your configuration from the controller and the pbx?? What kind of transmition you use??? b/g/n ?

Problem is solved...we upgrade the patch 3.3.3.10 in wireless controller. Now its working fine.............thanks for the support
