IAP 103 Standalone registration and configuration

Post by yasirsattar06 »

Hi All,

I am new in Alcatel-Lucent Data.
I have 2 IAP 103, and want to install without using any WLAN Controller or Switch. I have just 1 L3 switch (OmniSwitch 6860E) and 2 IAP 103.
Please let me know how i'll install and configure these 2 IAPs independently (without using any WLAN Controller or Switch)?

Internet link is coming from Service provider.

When i power up IAP 103 then after booting up, it shows the SSID "Instant" in Wifi, i connect it and using http:/instant.alcatel-lucent.com on Web Browser to access AP. It shows the connected AP, after 1min it shows registration issue and disconnected. After 1min it does not show "Instant" in Wifi.

Please help me in this regard.

Kind Regards,

Ok. Reset the IAP with the reset button, this is done by pressing the button and, while pressing, connect the eth cable (wait 5-10 sec with the button pressed).
Then connect to instant SSID and set the country to GB. Check if after this you don't lose the connection, if you dont upgrade to the latest software and try to set your country.

Regards.

Hi L_lefante,

Now working fine with GB.
Thanks for your response.

I have one other issue.
When i use APs, then i can have access to all Wifi users but i am not able access LAN users (connected to Switch where IAPs and Internet cable is connected, All users are on the same subnet). Means no communication from Wifi to LAN and vise versa.

Regards.
