What it means by mgr is under Dynamic Voice guides you can import the voice guides from the /usr7/vg/pc directory to the /usr7/vg/dhs directory.

The format need to be 8khz 16 bit mono but you need to get the naming right.

You will not find the crcvg tool any where i was given it from a French engineer sometime ago but i need to find it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, the documentation was in an "4400 advanced" Course of the Alcatel University. I think it was a Rel.4.x on a chorus machine.
My Systems are from Release 3.x - 4.x (chorus) over 5.x Unix and linux until now Rel.6.1/6.2 Linux.
All these systems are 4400 Systems now it calls "OXE" I mean, in common and now also in crystal hardware.
I read aobove, that the "crcvg" is a Chorus-tool. I would need it for a 6.x OXE Linux System.
So it seem, that I must take the Alcatel Audio Station for my work.

Greetings again.

Convert *.wav with crcvg

Postby sadim » Sun Jul 09, 2006 5:08 pm

I order to forsee if i should invest some time trying to know if it is possible to make a application that can convert a wav file into a ccd file (like crcvg), i would like your feedback on it.

Don't know what you mean by 'ccd' file, but the Voice Guide files are a simple Wav/RIFF/A-low files with calculated 4-byte CRC checksum and some memo "insert your comment here".

Don't know any program to actually convert files (not AAS) but it could be done by two-step:
1) actualy convert (Cooledit, Audacity, sndrec32.exe or Sox[tm] for Linux)
2) calculate crc (it should be some easy to guess procedure, having some VG files w/ crc and only 4 bytes) and add it to .wav file (anykind of MS Visual* compiler and mmioCreateChunk() or Perl and File::Format::RIFF)

Any Coments?
Please note that at no time I will provide you with OXE/4400 nor AOS releases.
Note that it's our private time, that we spent to help you, so please don't expect complete solution for your problem.
You will need to do homework by your self.
