Hi everyone!
Since few weeks i'm trying to export the mac-address-table so i could then use it to create an inventory/floor plan of what's behind my switchs.
I have tried to get the output with putty + a script but the switch refuses to execute the script. I don't know if it is general to all 6400 or if i don't have enough permissions to do it.
I know that i can export switch config files easily with psftp, but then i would have to create a text file from the output of mac-address-table command, but redirection of the output to a file seems to not working either.
Also is there a way to create a scheduled tasks on 6400 ?
Does anyone has an idea if this can be done or a workaround ?
I'm new here and to alcatel switchs, i tried to find any clues from the Internet and this forum before posting but i havn't found much answers.
Thanks!
Damien
How to export mac-address-table output
Re: How to export mac-address-table output
There is no possibility to execute scripts switch-side on aos 6 devices.
You can go with scripts on (ssh)client side.
You can use for example plink (part of putty package) or general the -m parameter of the putty-executable (read the manual/google). other ssh clients do support similar stuff.
you could use Omnivista as well.
you could write yourself a perl-script which does magic using net:ssh:expect (e.g. http://www.perlmonks.org/?node_id=881431 )
