I have a set up:
Customer<>>>Cisco Router <<<<L2Vpn>>>>Cisco Router<<<<>>>>>Alcatel Omnistack 6400 <<<<>>>>Customer router
I want to have a transparent trunk on the Omnistack so that the L2vpn on the cisco can be a trunk in such a way that when a customer adds vlan on either side i dont have to configure any on my side.
Please advise on the configs i should put on the Omnistack
Configuring GIG ports 6400 to act as atransparent trunk
Re: Configuring GIG ports 6400 to act as atransparent trunk
calling a 6400 an omni stack!
i'm a newbie, but I don't get your fantastic idea :O
if you have a god-damn-sweet ol' omnistack, you can do customer vlans as a workaround.
I've worked only with Metro omni switches, there you can use simple ethernet-service svlan, or do a sap with cvlan all.

With 6400 there is no way for L2vpn. For automatic vlan creation etc. you can use mvrp or gvrp. But it should than also activated at the cisco's.
But the best way in your case is to add every tagged vlan to the uplinks...

Silvio, but if the vlans overlap, what will you do?
if the switch feeds another customer?
thats why customer vlans on omnistacks or qinq in ethernet-services or sap cvlan all works better.
he'll use only 1 tag on the switch but the customer can do anything, except loop the mac from both ways

Hi Rekeds,
you are correct. In this case Roblin needs vlan stacking like you have suggested. I was confused with L2vpn ...
